Minimum qualifications

University graduate, diploma holder, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with spreadsheet software, email, and word processing software

Experience working with computers

Preferred qualifications

Willingness to navigate ambiguous tasks, find suitable solutions, and seek help or advice when needed
Effective problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and within a team framework

Role Description (and additional job description)

As an Information Technology Apprentice, you will develop the skills necessary to become an IT and Operations Engineer while earning a salary. Google aims to cultivate a pipeline for the next generation of IT and operations engineers, actively bridging the gap between technical employment and education.

During the program, you will:

Work alongside a team of Googlers to solve real-life problems.

Apply problem-solving skills to real challenges, acquiring new technical skills such as troubleshooting multiple computing platforms, data gathering and analysis, automating repetitive tasks, remote infrastructure and fleet management, IT security and policies, and other industry practices.

Google will provide comprehensive training in networking, infrastructure, multi-platform system administration, and communication technologies (video and voice). You will also develop skills in hardware, mobile devices, and project management through hands-on experience.

Responsibilities Of Information Technology Apprenticeship

Assist in supporting internal infrastructure, escalating issues to appropriate teams as needed.
Provide support to internal employees across various IT needs on platforms including ChromeOS, Mac, Linux, Windows, iOS, and Android.
Attend required training sessions and participate in mentoring sessions as specified.
