Hi, I wanted to know what interview rounds happen and what criteria is looked at for selection.
Regarding the application and interview rounds for Product Management
Hi Ananta, that's a great question!
For interview rounds, you can check out this post: https://thewodm.com/google-apprenticeship-process/
The basic criteria for all the apprenticeship programmes are the same:
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Maximum 1 year of experience in a data analytics / digital marketing / project management role post-graduation
- Experience with using Google Workspace (e.g., Gmail, Chrome, Docs, Sheets, etc.) or similar applications
- Ability to communicate in English fluently
To know more in detail, you can check out the following posts:

@thewodm Right. First of all, thanks for the response. What I wanted to specifically know was about the Project Management rounds
1. How difficult is the first assessment round? What questions of LR are asked.
2. What level of technical expertise are they looking for when they talk in the telephonic interview?
3. Besides the basic criteria for selections, what add-ons like college(tier1/tier2), course( like engineers preferred) or any other sort of experience is something that sets the candidates aside? Mostly, are non-tech people expected to clear the rounds with the same ease as the tech ones?
No worries.
1. The difficulty level of the first assessment round is basic. There are simple questions related to logical and reasoning- mcq based questions (there may be some changes, so try to connect with the new apprentices for the latest updates).
2. Basic level
3. Great questions! You can add the following points to your resume: Contact Information, Summary, or Objective, Education, Work Experience (internships, freelance projects), Skills, Certifications, Projects (college projects, personal projects), Awards and honours, interests or hobbies (optional)
Note:
- Include relevant keywords and highlight them.
- Try to write in bullet format.
- Keep your resume clean and concise.
@thewodm Did you go through the process of building your resume in the right format by yourself or did you take someone's help? Would really be thankful if i had a sample format and especially what keywords to focus on while submitting one.
Also, the technical skills that you mentioned, as I am supposing that in the Project management one they do not require knowledge of sql or agile for that matter. They might be required in the data Analytics one.
Would be really grateful if you could hold a webinar in terms of talking about the rounds.
Plus, also wanted to know what sites/videos did you refer to, for preparation of different rounds.
- I made my resume by myself.
- For a resume sample or if you want to make your resume online for free, you can try these:
- Overleaf
- Google Docs
- Suppose you make your resume for a digital marketing apprenticeship, then you can highlight (bold) the words like digital marketing planning, campaign management, market research, etc.
- No, you don't require any technical skills like SQL etc for the PMA role.
- For the interview rounds and process, please follow this post: https://thewodm.com/google-apprenticeship-process/
- You can try Indiabix for the preparation of the GOC.
Also, in your experience, does the apprenticeship help in getting a job at Google later?
I'm not sure now, so I can't give you exact answers to this question.
You can try to connect with the older apprentices who have already completed this programme; they will guide you and help you in a better way!
