The Google Project Management Apprenticeship is a 24-month program designed to provide training and development for individuals looking to start a career in project management. This program offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience and skills while preparing for a career in managing complex projects.

 

Minimum qualifications

  • University graduate, diploma holder, or equivalent practical experience
  • Less than 1 year of project management experience
  • Experience using productivity tools such as spreadsheets and word processors
  • Experience working with computers

Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Willingness to navigate ambiguous tasks, find suitable solutions, and seek help or advice when needed

About the job

The Project Management Apprenticeship aims to build a pipeline for the next generation of project managers across industries, bridging the gap between technical employment and education. Participants will develop general project management skills, focusing on soft skills necessary for effective change and risk management, along with agile project management and innovation. You will gain a deep understanding of when and how to apply these skills to manage complex projects. An external training partner will also support you throughout the program.

During the apprenticeship, you will be mentored and trained in various tools and techniques, enabling you to distill data into actionable insights and make recommendations across different business groups.

Responsibilities Of Project Management Apprenticeship

  • Coordinate internal resources for flawless execution of projects.
  • Share relevant documentation and reports with project teams.
  • Provide information and regular support to stakeholders.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of project scope and particulars, including timeframes, financials, and outcomes.
  • Ensure thorough project documentation, including creating and reviewing reports.
